David Adeleke, best known by his stage name, Davido, has left tongues wagging after becoming the first African to perform at the Madison Square Garden (MSG) Arena in the United States.. 50 Cent Invites Davido.
Curtis James Jackson III, popularly known as 50 cent, an American rapper and movie producer, invited Davido on stage at the grand premiere of the hit series “Power.” Season 6 is set to be released on August 25th, and during the premiere in MSG Arena, Davido became the first ever Nigerian/African to perform on that stage.
In the video, the crowd could be seen singing along to the singer’s hit song “Fall.” Recently, the singer shut down the O2 Arena in London, being the second Nigerian musician to do so, first being his colleague in the music industry, Wizkid. Davido has added another feather to his cap.
During his “City of David” concert in Lagos, one of the actresses in the “Power” series, Naturi Cora Maria Naughton, popularly known as her onscreen name in the series, Tacha, was in Lagos live for the event. It seems Davido has now formed a close relationship with 50 cent through Tacha, a relationship big enough for Curtis Jackson to invite Davido up on stage to tease the crowd with his “Afro Melody.”
