Inter-linked goalkeeper Andre Onana has given further confirmation that he intends to leave Ajax on a free transfer during the summer transfer window.
Speaking to Dutch broadcaster ESPN following his team’s 3-2 victory over Waalwijk in the Eredeivisie, the Cameroonian stated his goodbye to the Dutch champions.
Onana looks to be all set to join Inter during the summer transfer window, with the 25-year-old having already reportedly undergone his medicals.
The keeper has been identified as the long-term successor to captain Samir Handanovic in goal, and with his contract expiring at the end of June he can sign on a free transfer.
Onana has long looked set for a departure from Ajax in the summer, and he has given further confirmation of his intention to leave rather that consider extending his contract, with all reports suggesting that he is bound for Inter during the summer transfer window. “These are my last months in Amsterdam, one hundred percent,” he said. “I’m proud of what I have done and happy with the successes that we have achieved.”He added that “I want to thank everyone, because these triumphs belong to them too. I can only be grateful.”
