Barça: Kessie and Aubameyang pay tribute to Samuel Eto’o and Thiery Henry

Franck Kessié and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang do not forget the legends who marked the Blaugrana club. The Ivorian and the Gabonese celebrated a goal with the military salute popularized by Eto’o and Henry in the 2008-09 Champions League.

Barcelona beat Pumas 6-0 in a Joan Gamper Trophy game on Sunday. Franck Kessie and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang celebrated Barca’s fifth goal against Pumas in the Joan Gamper Trophy with a military salute that reflected their bond with Africa. The Ivory Coast midfielder provided the assist and the Gabon striker was ruthless. They have few training sessions together, but they have connected. And in passing, although they did not reveal if it was intentional, they paid tribute to a historical couple of attackers in the Barça team.

During the 2008-09 season, Samuel Eto’o and Thierry Henry celebrated certain goals with the same military salute. The Cameroonian and the French did it, for example, against Malaga in the league, in March 2009, but we will especially remember the celebration in this way of one of the four goals scored against Bayern (4-0) in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals that the Barça team ended up winning.
