Construction of the Olembe stadium: Magil company announces the suspension of work

In a document addressed to the subcontractors of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, which dates Wednesday July 20, 2022, the Canadian structure announces that the work is stopped for three months.




News Cameroon learns this Thursday, July 21, 2022 that the Canadian company Magil is temporarily suspending the construction of the Paul Biya stadium in Olembe. In a letter addressed to the subcontractors of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, dated Wednesday July 20, 2022, the Canadian structure announces that the work is stopped for three months.




According to Magil, the Ministry of Sports refuses to pay the invoices of the subcontractors who nevertheless worked on the organization of the CAN 2021. In this momentum, the works are stopped for at least 30 days at the Olembe stadium and the subcontractors invited to remove their equipment.
