Cameroon’s minister of employment and vocational training, president of the National Salvation Front opposition political party. and former minister of communication Issa Tchiroma was guest on Equinox Tv program ”Droite de Reponse” where he answered a series of questions




Responding to a question about his early life and criminal record, Mr Tchiroma said he was jailed without committing a crime. About his early lie, minister, Issa Tchiroma said, he started school at the age of 10 and got the equivalence of his First school leaving certificate at 16. The late start he explained on Equinoxe TV’s Droite de Response was because he spent his first years studying the Quran. Regarding his trial after the 1984 coup d’etat, Minister Issa Tchiroma says he was charged but acquited. He, however, says he spent about six years in jail for no reason with about 10 others. “It doesn’t matter today,” he said adding that he’s ready to help “to move this nation forward”.

On the issue of the mortal remains of Cameroon’s first President Amadou Ahidjo, Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary said he is in support of the repatriation of the remains of Cameroon’s first president Ahmadou Ahidjo, adding that he does not know why there has been a delay in the repatriation process. To him, it is the responsibility of President Paul Biya and he will do so at the right time.




In accordance with Islam, “Muslims are not bothered by where the first president of Cameroon was buried, Muslims are often buried where they die,” he says.

On the issue of jobs creation, Minister of employment and vocational training said the government will create more jobs this year than in 2019. He cannot tell journalists in which sectors the jobs will be created. “The statistics are in our office, visit our office and we will present them,” He said.
