Sadio Mane Honoured with Massive Mural in Hometown in Senegal

Liverpool forward Sadio Mané has been honoured with a beautiful painting of himself in his hometown of Diamniadio The mural dedicated to the Liverpool star was painted by Senegalese artist Semedo and brightly spotted on the streets on Dakar.

Sadio Mané is revered in Senegal after winning the country its first ever Africa Cup of Nations title early this year.




Sadio Mané has been honoured with a gigantic mural in his hometown in Diamniadio, Senegal following his heroics with the Teranga Lions early this year.The Liverpool star led the West African country to their first ever Africa Cup of Nations title this year, scoring the winning penalty as they defeated Egypt.

Senegalese artist Semedo shared the painting of the mural on social media as the people of Diamnidio celebrate their hometown hero.Mané is an influential figure in the little town in the capital of Senegal, Dakar. The English Premier League star has contributed significantly to the people of Senegal, building hospitals and support the less priviledged.




The 30-year-old is having an outstanding year, having won the FA Cup and the Caraboa Cup with Liverpool and he is also in the running for a UEFA Champions League medal.

The domestic double add to his international title with Senegal, which is the Nations Cup trophy.

Sadio Mane emerges as contender for Ballon d’Or award

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Sadio Mane has now emerged as a strong front runner for the Ballon d’Or award.
