Afcon 2021 semi finals match between Cameroon and Egypt did not end well for the Indomitable lions of cameroon. Despite dominating all through the match could the lions could not succeed with penalty shots after their three players James Léa siliki, Moukoudi and Njie Clinton missed their penalties.
Since then Cameroonians have not stopped trolling Njie Clinton.
Njie has however tendered an apology through his manager Rene Katche which reads
Dear Cameroonians,
I’m short of words and I’m still trying to come to terms with everything that happened yesterday. My biggest fear became a reality when I had a vital responsibility towards my beloved motherland and I sadly dashed the hopes of more than 26 million Cameroonians, home and abroad. It wasn’t my intention and I sincerely apologize for that.
They say disappointment is the nurse of wisdom and through this disappointment has come opportunities for me to learn how to become a better player and person. I have also taken time to read every feedback in good faith and will work tirelessly to become the best version of myself.
I love this country with all my heart, and will always defend it to the best of my ability.
