President Paul Biya has called on Cameroonians to Welcome and embrace Youth Connekt initiative. Youth Connekt (YC) was first launched in 2012 in Rwanda. It is a joint UN-Government initiative, supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), that aims to connect young people to diverse socio-economic and political opportunities in order to optimize their empowerment and facilitate their full participation in development.

This emerging model of UN-Government cooperation aims to boost Africa’s demographic dividend through innovation. To do this, the YC program strengthens young people’s connection to their role models, peers, available resources, skills and economic opportunities. Better still, the Youth Connekt initiative is a response to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDOs) for a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world in 2030.
Paul has called on Cameroonian youths to embrace this initiative. see twitter below
I encourage every young Cameroonian to seize the opportunities offered by Youth Connekt following the launching of the initiative in Cameroon.
Our dear and beautiful country will be built in peace with the youth.#PaulBiya#Cameroon#YouthConnektCmr#Connekt2Opportunities— President Paul BIYA (@PR_Paul_BIYA) December 9, 2019
