It is within the framework of the suspension of the journalist Guibai Gatama, member of the Executive Committee of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot).
Guibai Gatama, member of the executive board of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) has decided to drag Samuel Eto’o Fils, the president of Fecafoot to court. Indeed, elected at the head of Fecafoot on December 11, 2022, Samuel Eto’o had modified the organization chart of Fecafoot and appointed certain officials.
It is in this momentum that he was seized in writing on January 17, 2022 by Guibai Gatama who reminded Samuel Eto’o that his acts of appointment did not respect the laws of Fecafoot. “This modification of the organization chart and the appointments were made in violation of the statutes of Fecafoot,” warned the media man. Despite this, the boss of Fecafoot remained indifferent. On February 16, 2022, during a meeting held in Limbé, Guibai Gatama was suspended from the Executive Committee of Fecafoot for three months.
The general Assembly
Two days later (February 18, 2022) the journalist then decided to seize the Fecafoot appeals committee to complain about the violation of the statutes of Fecafoot by its president. The said commission does not respond. On February 28, 2022, Guibai Gatama lodged a request with the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC).
The publication director of the Œil du Sahel disputes his three-month suspension in violation of all procedures, disputes the appointments made to Fecafoot outside the legal framework which has led to expenditure by people who do not have quality, the modification of the organization chart and the creation of new departments while these modifications are the sole competence of the General Assembly.

These appointments concern in particular, Banlock Didier Benjamin, the former Secretary General of Fecafoot, Djitta, the Administrative and Financial Director of Fecafoot, Happi Franck, the Director of Football Development of Fecafoot, Djounang Blaise, the legal manager of the Fecafoot. The case was approved on March 31, 2022, by the Conciliation Chamber. But the president of Fecafoot is absent.
The Conciliation Chamber decides on matters of conciliation and notes the total non-conciliation of the parties due above all to the non-appearance of the defendant. Anything that leads to referral to the Chamber of Arbitration. A maneuver that was made by the journalist. The Chamber summoned for June 16, the president of Fecafoot and Guibai Gatama. The hearing is for 4 p.m.
